All of the meats we feature are cured and sealed meaning that they’re shelf stable and don’t require refrigeration for a number of weeks. These meats don’t require ice packs or any form of refrigeration during transit. For optimal storage conditions, we just recommend that customers refrigerate the meats upon arrival as well as after opening any of the products.
When we plan each box, we specifically clarify with each artisan that the meats we are mailing must be able to be transported without refrigeration. Therefore, even though some of the packages may indicate to keep refrigerated, these products are shelf stable for transit without refrigeration.
